My dear classmates:
Daisy Matthews brought me Robin on Wednesday night and gave me until Saturday to have this back to her. That's the way to keep this bird on the wing!
Last night I had a splendid time visiting with my classmates and today I want to write and thank you all for that pleasure.
I was one of the fortunates who attended the reunion at Goucher last spring. Having seen many of you so lately, it makes me feel even closer to you as I now write.
As for me and my life - Since writing my last letter my life has changed considerably as I have stopped teaching. Naturally different interests are filling my days- I now have more time for club activities. I enjoy working in the church guild and in the *** Club ***. This winter I have been Chairman of the Art Chapter and () () () ()()(). The election of new officers takes place in April and I am a nominee for President. If elected my time will be more than full with the responsibilities of the Club. () () () () ()() () () five hundred women.
Since stopping teaching I am seeing none of the old () frequently on business trips with my husband. () the () () of years. Florida most as far as northern Michigan and Canada. Then three years ago dear Ruth and () two other friends took the Norway, Sweden, Med. Cruise and of course had a wonderful time. Now that dear Ruth has passed on, I cherish especially those months with her. No one could have been a finer traveling companions.
There is one other Goucher graduate living in Forest Hills and since we have found each other, we have become the best friends. She is Estelle ()) Finnegan '05. There surely is a close bond between those with an AB from our Goucher.
I extend to all my classmates my heartiest good wishes. May () deal kindly with one and all.
Affectionately your friend,
Lyda Norris Bailey
