May 1931 Alumnae Quarterly:
Nina Caspari Oglesby says: "I haven't a great deal to tell, the only news of possible interest is, that I am teaching French and German at East High School of this city and am working for my Master's Degree at the University of Rochester.
I am sorry I have never been able to come to the reunions, but I am a very busy person with my three professions of student, teacher, and homemaker. My daughter is working for her A.B. at the same university where I am working for my A.M. It's great fun."
July 1939 Alumnae Quarterly:
Nina Caspari Oglesby still lives in Rochester. Her chief interests are her family, books, and home. We think Nina has a son graduating from West Point about this time.
November 1945 Alumnae Quarterly:
I am sure all will be distressed to know that Nina Caspari died Sept. 9, 1943. I always liked and admired Nina. I shall never forget one of my very first days at Goucher, I was young and forlorn-but felt I should try to make friends with the freshmen, who were also young and maybe lonely too. I saw Nina in Goucher Hall one day and stopped her for a friendly chat. Finally, I asked where she was from- and with her foreign accent she said "I, Goethe and Schiller were born at Weimar." Since then I have never forgotten where those three were born. The same day, I sauntered over to Bennett Hall, and there was a lone freshman; rather quiet and demure looking. I tried to make a friendly contact with her, and asked where she was from. She seemed to draw herself up to greater height, and with head up said "I am a Roman." It was Italia Garibaldi. So with shoulders back and head up I replied "And I am a Virginian." After that I didn't bother to enquire where anyone was born. - Nancy Nulton Larrick
