July 1930 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrows could not attend as one daughter was graduating from Stuart Hall, Staunton, Virginia. Her older girl is studying at the Philadelphia School of Design.
July 1939 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes wrote her regrets and sent love to the Class.
November 1945 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes gave us real joy with a nice letter, telling of her lovely family. Helen had such a quiet, gracious sense of humor that it was always a pleasure to have her in the group. Like so many of us, she and her husband are left alone in the home- but as she says "never lonely." Her son Edward is in the Army. Her daughter Mary's husband is a Lieut. in the Navy. They have two grandchildren.
Winter 1949 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes writes from Armstrong House, McEwensville, Pa. "Sorry I can not send any exciting details of my family and myself. We live quietly and happily in this village; our son Edward W. and his wife live in Princeton, N.J.; our daughter Mary, husband and three children live in Oswego, N.Y. We are always interested to learn anything of Goucher and 1903."
Fall 1951 Alumnae Quarterly:
From McEwensville, Pa. Helen Buoy Burrows writes: "I am living alone, quietly, have the usual interests of a woman of 1903. My son is in Princeton and my daughter in Oswego, N.Y. They with my grandchildren are sthe center of my interests, but I can't write an exciting story, much as I would like to do so."
Winter 1958 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes writes to say that she does not think she can come to our informal reunion, but there is a suggestion that perhaps she might find that she could, and write if such were the case. Meanwhile, greetings to her classmates.
Winter 1960 Alumnae Quarterly:
From Helen Buoy Burrowes comes word of a quiet pleasant life, -reading, watching T.V. and working crossword puzzles. All crossword puzzlers please raise their hands. Good! Everybody counted in!
Summer 1961 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes says she has little to report for the Quarterly which she reads regularly. And it is a little hard to tell about quiet days, with books, television, and friendly visits and puzzles, "to entertain the leisure of an elegant gentleman," as Stevenson says. Do you like the cryptograms, Helen? I like to work on them, while my sister does the crosswords." - Eda Briggs Frost
Winter 1962 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes says the last report on her could stand for the present for she still enjoys reading and crossword puzzles and a quiet life.
Spring 1963 Alumnae Quarterly:
Helen Buoy Burrowes, McEwensville, Pa., although not exactly housebound, is seldom able to go outside her comfortable apartment. Visits from good neighbors, a sister and a daughter keep her in touch with the world outside, while reading, TV, and crossword puzzles beguile her more solitary hours.
Summer 1964 Alumnae Quarterly:
A note from Helen Buoy Burrowes says that she is well and pleasantly situated; she appreciates having news of Goucher and her classmates.
September 1971 Alumnae Quarterly:
We have had deaths in our group: Mabel Rawlings Barr, Mary Beavers, and Helen Buoy Burrowes. We send our deep sympathy to the families of these dear friends and pray for help in facing our losses.
