Summer 1954 Alumnae Quarterly:
Still another telephone visit was of interest to 1903, with Mrs. Nelson Jeffers, Bess Debow's daughter. In a roundabout way, through Thyra Crawford Rees, I found Mrs. Jeffer's address and wrote to her, asking for material for her mother's sheet in the 1903 book, so she called up to say that when they were somewhat settled in the new home they were building, she would send me al lshe could, as well as a snapshot taken not long before her mother died. Her voice had much the same lovely quality that Bess's had and I could almost imagine I was back in old Goucher of fifty years ago.
