Dear Classmates,
It is always a pleasure to greet the Round Robin and I, too, hope that the next time it appears, each one may have the privilege of reading all the letters.
I cannot remember where I was living when I wrote last, but we have been in New York the last few years. The boys both graduated with honors from Harvard. The younger, Robert, married, and is living near me. He is in the Public Relations Department of the Brooklyn Trust Company. My older son, Eugene, after graduating from the Harvard Business School, accepted a good offer from his roommate's father, and is with the Safety *** Appliance Company in Pittsburgh.
My husband and I had an interesting trip to Bermuda this winter. We were fortunate enough to enjoy one of the kaleidoscopic changes in weather that sometimes occur there. The day after we arrived, Glenn and I, arrayed in heavy winter clothes - went out into a driving wind and rain storm, while the other guests sat around the hotel. We felt quite brave (or was it foolhardy) when we couldn't get a horse and buggy because 'the wind might blow the buggy over'. Anyway, we had a gorgeous time. Two days later, in my thinnest summer apparel, and no wraps. I was uncomfortably warm in the sun.
In the city here, I, too enjoy grand opera, the theatre, music, etc. I also find that many friends pass thru New York.
This week Harriet Ebaugh Rarig, of the class of 1904, - with her husband, Prof. Rarig, of the University of Minnesota, and two of their daughters, Margaret and Barbara, had dinner in our house. All but Margaret, who is a social worker at the medical center here- had just returned from a most enjoyable winter in England, followed by a trip through Europe.
My best wishes to all of you.
Sincerely,
